The Bothy is a semi-detached holiday cottage in the village of Old Costessey, Norwich. The Bothy offers open plan accommodation for two in Norfolk, ideal for couples who want to have a hideaway, with attention to details to ensure they have a wonderful stay.
The Bothy is at the end of the owner’s house as it was once the under-gardener accommodation. The main house was the head gardener home and in between was the stoke house and apple loft which is now part of the owner’s house. The building was once part of the estate of Costessey Hall, which was sold off in 1919, and the main house was demolished in 1925. All that is left is the belfry block which is by the 18th fairway of Costessey Park golf course.
Thank you for letting me be the first guest to stay at The Bothy. I have really enjoyed my stay, and wish I had more time to explore the area. the bothy is fantastic: a really charming space. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen which has all the equipment needed for "proper" cooking. Providing oil and vinegar was really helpful, as well as cling film and tuppaware for leftovers and picnic lunches. they are things I always plan to take with me when I'm self catering, but usually forget!
